Veggie Salad Decoration in Global kids

At Global Public School, experiential learning is at the heart of our kindergarten curriculum. Our Playgroup and Nursery students recently took a fun and educational trip to the vegetable market setup in school where they explored a wide variety of fresh produce. This visit was more than just a field trip-it was a carefully designed learning experience aimed at helping young children connect classroom knowledge with the real world.

During the visit, students learned to:
• Identify and name different vegetables
• Recognize colors, shapes, and textures of fresh produce
• Understand the importance of fresh vegetables in daily meals

To build on this experience, students of class LKG and HKG took part in a colourful salad decoration activity. This creative task helped enhance their fine motor skills, sense of aesthetics, and understanding of balanced nutrition.

The session was further enriched by the presence of our respected Principal, Mrs. Sumati Sharma, who personally interacted with the children. She guided them on the benefits of healthy eating and the role vegetables play in growth and well-being.

By the end of the activity, students not only gained knowledge about vegetables but also developed:
• Improved vocabulary through real-life association
• Healthy eating habits from a young age
• Hands-on creativity through salad making
• Confidence in identifying food items independently

At Global Public School, we are committed to making learning meaningful, enjoyable, and rooted in real-life experiences that spark curiosity and lifelong habits.
